That is why privacy-sensitive data (or personal data) is processed via the website www.valpottery.be. Val Pottery considers careful handling of personal data of great importance. This data is therefore carefully processed and secured by us. We are happy to tell you exactly what we do with your personal data and why we need it in this privacy statement. In our processing, we comply with the requirements that have been drawn up within the privacy legislation. This means, among other things, that:

USE OF PERSONAL DATA

We store the following information in your personal account: your name, (delivery and residential/establishment) address(es), telephone number, e-mail address, payment

details, and any company name and VAT number. In addition, your order history and the chosen delivery options are also saved. The interests you have entered are also stored, namely your wish list and your e-mail preferences.

PURPOSES

  • Processing your order
    If you order something, we need certain information from you to be able to deliver your order and to keep you informed. We also need this information from you for any returns or repairs.
  • Handling payment transactions
    In order to process the payment of the order correctly, we use your payment details. Naturally, all payments are made within a secure payment environment. For this we use mollie.com, an online payment system that makes payment easier and more flexible.
  • Communication
    In order to facilitate communication regarding your order and/or other questions, we use your personal data.
  • Execution of legal obligation
    In order to comply with our legal obligation, we store the data necessary to execute the agreement you have concluded with us within the statutory period of 7 years.
  • Marketing (if allowed)
    In order to provide you with personal offers, we use your personal data/contact details. This data will only be used if you have given your explicit permission for this.
  • Fraud prevention
    For the purpose of fraud prevention, if there is a legitimate interest, we use your IP address, address details and payment details. ADVERTISEMENT

We can, with your permission, inform you about offers, special promotions and news from Val Pottery via e-mail marketing.

CONTACT AND NEWSLETTER

Through our web store we offer the possibility to ask questions through various channels (such as e-mail, telephone and social media). You choose which data you provide. The data you send us will be kept for as long as this is necessary for the complete answering and handling of your question.

We offer a newsletter with which we want to inform interested parties about our products and/or services. Every newsletter contains a link with which you can unsubscribe.

DATA FOR GIVEAWAYS

When participating in competitions or win promotions, we ask you for information, such as your name, home address and/or e-mail address. We need this information to be able to carry out the giveaway and to announce the winner(s).

CUSTOMER INQUIRIES

We are constantly working on improving our services so that they meet your needs even better. That is why we may use your data (customer ID, e-mail address and/or telephone number) to invite you for a non-binding customer or market survey. In this way you help to optimize our webshop. Participation in such a survey is completely voluntary. How long the associated data is stored varies per study. As soon as the investigation has been definitively completed, we will delete all data that can be traced back to you.

PROVISION TO THIRD PARTIES

The secure processing of your data is guaranteed by means of a processor agreement between Val Pottery and the partner. An example of such a partner is our logistics partner. This will receive your customer number, order number, name and delivery address from us. After all, they need this information to deliver your package to the address you have chosen.

Social media buttons are included in our webshop. This allows you to share articles that you find fun, useful or useful with your friends on your social media account. valpottery.be will not be able to access your social media account. These buttons only provide a link and do not pass on any personal data to third parties.
